In light of my recent post titled " The Mountains are Calling" I felt obligated to write a little bit about my next adventure.
FLORIDA
VACATION!!
An actual sunny vacation.
It is nearing and I CAN NOT WAIT.
For the first time I will be travelling to the sunshine state for some R &R.
While the photo above isn't sunny Florida it is most definitely how I picture the beaches to be.
A little secret!...
I've never been on a "tropical" vacation before. This will be my first time travelling for the sole purpose of relaxation, heat & sunshine.
I have never been the type of person who desired to go on vacation to relax, sit on a beach, drink and wade by the pool. I felt that this was the type of thing that I could do when I was older- retired even! In other words, I felt that there is lots of time for that. With that said, I am tired!! I work two jobs, sometimes 7 days a week. I am in dire need of a "relaxing" vacation. For the first time I am totally okay with the fact that the whole week there is nothing set in stone and the only tentative plan is to visit my parents while I am there. I need a week of sitting on the beach, reading, reflecting, riding my bike to little coffee shops and just relaxing. I even bought a Kobo for this trip so I can take multiple books & magazines with me to get lost in while I soak up all that Vitamin D.
I never stop, I don't know how!
Relaxation is different for everyone.
Some days a 10 K run is what relaxes me, others it's a bath & a good book.
I am finally ready for what most define as relaxing, I don't want to feel like I need a vacation from my vacation when I arrive back on the rock.
Fort Myers I am ready for you. I am counting down the days.
If you have a book that you love & would like to share, please post in the Comments :)
