That is one of the most accurate descriptions of my person that I have ever heard.
Recently I moved into the woods... Literally.
Cabin Country!
I feel like I am in heaven- My dog does too.
Since our move I have found (or created) space in my life for some of my favourite forgotten pass times and I am learning to "be still".
I am never still and my writing suffers because of it!
Some of my other hobbies such as reading and working with my dog get pushed to the wayside, too.
Beautiful things happen in stillnes
We have been enjoying the country for almost a month now. While it has its challenges and requires some serious planning to get through the week- between schedules, running, spin, swimming, obedience, the gym, etc, we are at home.
I look forward to the 25 minute drive to decompress, listen to music and mentally prepare myself to take on the rest of my day or as a friend of mine always says, finding time to "Fill your Cup".
I have been able to spend more time reading, training my dog(s), being cozy and spending quality time with my love. All things that are high on my list. These things too help me relax, while it isn't an exact form of stillness, it is remote and gives me the energy I need to power through my day.
Being still, Filling my Cup and learning to say No ( which is totally okay and more people should practice this) are all things that I am working towards doing for my myself, my health!
I feel so much gratitude, My heart is full.
And while this isn't a momentous post, It felt good to write just a few words. Maybe I needed the reminder that slow is good, or maybe you do?
Regardless of what you do today, take some time for yourself. 5 minutes, 30 minutes, an hour!
You deserve it!
And because I can, here is a photo I took on our walk this afternoon. How calm, and peaceful the snow can be!
