Fall.
My favourite season.
Easy on the eye.
All those beautiful colours make the transition to winter that much easier. Though the temps have already begun to drop ( WAY below zero I might add) I find that the colours are warm and good for the soul.
Fall is also my favourite time of year to adventure and explore. I absolutely love summer but it is my busiest time of year. For most its Christmas, Nope, not for me. Working two jobs and training doesn't leave much time for travel other than travel for destination races.
Fall seems like a longtime gone.

Fall means adventure and lots of it. My last race was October 15th and my body is ready for some rest.
Relaxation is Now.
No, No Its not.
Hiking Season is still upon us and our Mountain Biking season has sadly come to an end.
Though every weekend is a new adventure uncovering new terrain.
Since August I have completed 16 Hikes and am running out of hikes to do within the Corner Brook Area. What a wonderful complaint.
Running is my passion but hiking gives me a different kind of freedom, a kind of freedom that running cant give me, I find it soothing, good for the soul. Running makes me feel strong, determined and overall drives me to be the best version of myself. I have learned so much about myself since I started my running journey in 2013 and haven't stopped a day since. Fall running gives me time to reflect on all the incredible learning experiences I had the past training season and all the like minded smiling faces I met along the way.
I owe much of my determination, stubbornness and drive to my Grandmother.
She developed parkinsons in her late sixties, this disease consumed her life until her recent passing in May. Watching this disease take over her life and with it her ability to bowl was heart wrenching. She bowled in over ten leagues and loved the sport fiercely. She is the reason I keep running after my goals, she reminds me that they are attainable and nothing in impossible.
Go after the things you really want in life, its too short to let it pass you by.
