Well here we are, we've made it through November and December has almost come to an end. Christmas is literally around the corner and the big guy will be here in just a few days. It has been an incredibly busy six weeks doing all the things that college and university students do..... Study right! 6 assignments and 6 exams later, it’s finally time to relax. I can honestly say that I have never worked so hard in all my life as I have in the past month and a half. University wasn't this hard nor was my other diploma program- Balls to the wall, it’s a thing!
It feels great to be home for 3.5 weeks, see my friends, get some well-deserved R & R and of course work because why would I have it any other way!!!! I’m not like most people, there is no way that I could come home for three and a half weeks and do nothing, WHO DOES THAT (Lots of people I know, I’m the one with the problem). I mean I love school and the fact that I'm getting one step closer to my dream job BUT I also love my current career. I don't think I’d have things any other way. I am very fortunate to have two GREAT people as my bosses. Luckily they kept me on staff and whenever I am home for a few days at a time or more I can work. It really is the best of both worlds. Not to mention the AMAZING people I work with, and well, we do really cool shit! I work at the Veterinary Surgical Speciality Centre of Newfoundland and Labrador. It is the only one of its kind on this island and our surgeon is one of two in all of Canada. You will never meet a more passionate and dedicated group of people. I am so grateful to be part of this team and hope to be for many years to come whether I'm volunteering, or working full time on staff. Hands down, the best veterinary facility anywhere on this little rock.
Get to the point right?
