Be Present in your life.
What do I mean by “Be Present”?
Take some time every day to do something for you. Whether it’s a half hour, an hour or several hours. Be Present. Put the phone down. Better yet, turn it off. Forget about Facebook, twitter and all other social media platforms that you frequent on a daily basis.
Get a bath, go for a massage, read a book, bake cookies, start a donation box, go for a walk, re-organize your cupboards and closet or volunteer. Do something for YOU, something that makes you happy and makes your heart smile.

How many of you get caught up in the madness that is day to day life? Running around with the kids, running errands, working, cleaning the house, walking the dog, shovelling the driveway, cooking supper… It’s never ending.
Take a minute. Breathe.
Take a minute. Breathe.
I was making lunch this afternoon and it hit me that I have been SO busy with life that I hadn’t really taken any time to myself lately. I am never home. Working, running a business, working overtime, errands, appointments, and the list goes on. It’s NON-STOP. Since Christmas has come and gone, things haven’t slowed down at all. Finding time to exercise, read a book, or just sit on the couch and take a breather is a challenge. This of course results in later nights, less sleep and one caffeinated woman the next day.
A viscous cycle really.
Preaching to the choir, trying to convince myself?
Maybe….

Self-care is important. It is something that each and every single one of us should practice. Routinely.
So today, tomorrow and the next day, look out for you! Practice self-care, practice being present. Stake a step back, put the phone down, smile, count your blessings and be present.
