What an absolutely beautiful morning! The sun was shining, the birds were chirping and the coffee was hot. What better time for a new blog post.
This morning’s summer like weather has motivated me to tell you about my next adventure- IRELAND! With the trip just a few days away I am filled with more feelings of anxiousness than I ever thought possible. Travelling to a new place is always terrifying and exciting at the same time- well, if you’re me anyway. I am afraid of heights- hence flying is sometimes an issue. I’ve gotten better over the years as I've travelled more but I am not to the point where I can say I enjoy flying. It’s nothing gravol can't fix right?
So, Ireland. It is one of the many places that have been on my bucket list of places to travel for quite some time. I have been fortunate enough to be able check a few off of that list-British Columbia & Scotland within the last year and a half. Why do I want to go to Ireland, well I’m not sure I’d even be able to give a solid answer as to why. It is the one place next to BC that I have always wanted to travel too. The landscape, the people and the environment, the beer and castles are definitely part of the reason why I've always wanted to go. Oh, and the accents, can't forget those. Who wouldn't want to listen to an Irishmen talk ALL day long? Right!!!
I will arrive in Dublin bright and early Friday morning and have a few hours until my travelling buddy lands mid afternoon. We will spend the night in Dublin before taking off early Saturday morning to start our 7 day tour of the island- Excited much! Back in December we decided that we were going to go on this trip, we had been talking about it since my visit to Scotland the previous year and said hey, now is just as good a time as any. We did our research & read the reviews and decided that Shamrocker Irish Adventures was going to be our tour company of choice. They offer a variety of different types of tours that vary from 1 day to 7. The tour that we had chosen is called the "All Ireland Rocker". Some of the places we will be travelling too are Belfast, Derry, Inis Mor, Dingle and Killarney. What I am most excited for would have to be the Cliffs of Moher & cycling across the Island of Inis Mor.

Cliffs of Moher
Some of the other activities that we will be indulging in are; The Blarney Castle, The Giants Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge and the Dark Hedges Inclusions which I am also pretty stoked about. A few other great things about this particular tour is that all accommodations and breakfast each day is included in the cost. I haven't even gone on this trip yet and I'm boasting about the company. Fingers crossed that they are as fantastic as they appear! Then again, who can have a bad time in Ireland, is that even possible?
I will try to post and write as much about my adventure as possible while I am gone but for now I should go and try to stuff 9 days of clothes and other things needed for this trip into a multi-day pack.
